The Prayer of Light is a powerful invocation that can bring calm and peace, regardless of what is going on around us. It is a wonderful prayer for those moments when you need to find your centre…a mantra for when the fear becomes all-consuming.
In our house, it is our bedtime ritual. It blessed my daughter with its words throughout her toddler years (and still does), and is doing the same for my two-year-old son (it is SO cute to hear them repeat it after you).
Words are powerful. Much more powerful than we give them credit for. In the beginning was The Word. To me, this means it was responsible for all creation. This is how powerful words are. If we choose our words wisely, our life may just transform in beautiful and unexpected ways.
